On Monday, Nov 29, 2021 at 8:00pm (UTC+7), we hosted a live AMA with Yetkin Isik, Community Manager of TaleCraft.
A revised transcript is available below:

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
Before we dive into the questions, can you introduce the TaleCraft project to Avalanche Vietnam community. Tell us about the team, your guys’ background, and what you all bring to the project?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
TaleCraft is a Gaming NFT project on Avalanche. It is a card game that you can mint NFT by making various crafts with 4 main cards of element and sell these cards on the marketplace. We were watching the trends in Gaming NFT area and noticed that there is no platform offering a system which has mobility, sustainability for its tokenomics and field of usage. You are getting an NFT for huge prices but without utility. So it brightened us and started to thinking about crafting, which requires time. With that way, users will spend time on making NFTs and get excited about it, while playing the game and earning rewards besides that. We wanted to make a historical period concept which is Medieval times, like the Tale’s have been telling to us from our elders. With summing these things up with crafting idea, TaleCraft is came out of our mouth. That is the story behind TaleCraft.

It will take too much time to describe every person in team but in short, we are a group of university students across all over the departments, at most prestigious universities of Turkey. In average we have a 3 years of experience in crypto field.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
1. The trend these days is obviously NFT gaming — especially the ones with Play-to-earn system. I see that it’s one strong point of TaleCraft. Can you explain more about TaleCraft’s Play-to-earn mechanism?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
We, as gamers, know that the main column of any game is competition. Winner of the board game will earn AVAX, NFT Holders will get some other rewards as AVAX too. And with achievement mode, users will be able to earn rewards with playing the game. Thanks to our board game, it creates a competition since it has a worthy rewards in the end, brings the excitement to users and we think that they will love it. Our game is not only about board game, but it starts with chest openings, crafting, the way that goes to NFTs. And lastly board game.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
2. I read TaleCraft will be a PvP game. But, could you give us more details about how the game and it’s mechanics will work? How will the PvP combats be? And how will the PvP part of the game really work?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
Chest opening is a part of the game, users will open chests which they will get one element from 4 of the basic elements. They will craft these elements with endless combinations and they reach the NFT they’ll desire with that way. Board game is our main game for now. It works with the higher takes all principle. Suppose that if you have higher weighed NFTs than me you will win against me. In the end, victory side will earn 0.25 AVAX, while defeated side lose nothing. It still fun but it will be complicated and more funny in future.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
3. I just recently observed that other NFT projects just comes out with a hype and do not necessarily have reasonable utilities. How different will TaleCraft be and what else does TaleCraft offer apart from Crafting?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
Our story is began with an enlightenment of noticing that most of the NFT projects coming out are lacking of a solid economic system. Which means, it has no possibility to be sustainable at the long term. They are coming out with hype but we strongly believe that hype has to be backed by a strong economic system and a visionary goals for the future. So our main purpose was to create a solution to that.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):

4. Why did you choose Avalanche as the platform for your project? Could you please explain why you chose these blockchains in the first place? Do you have any plans to connect to a different chain in the near future?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
Avax’s super-fast transaction durations giving users and us a flexibility to move around. Also, the transaction fees are so cheap so that was the fundamental reasons. Besides that, I haven’t seen any community like Avax has. They support the projects like their own. Our experience with our partnership is super cool, they are giving a support like non-other. We are so happy to be in this environment. No plans for now for any other chains.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
5. NFT games can be so difficult for many traditional players to play. How can Talecraft attract more traditional players? Do you plan to educate yourself about the benefits of NFT games?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
Since we started to create the project, we are in touch with gaming communities outside of the crypto, and we recorded some videos about our game, which explains the whole process starts with setup of MetaMask to crafting, opening chests, and board game. Since our game is based on play-to-earn strategy, users will get AVAX rewards and that is what we call a good incentive for our newbies!

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
6. How do we invest in the project? Do we have locking period or a minimum requirement to be eligible??

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
You can buy it on TraderJoe right now, our private sales and IDOs are done sadly…

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
7. Do you have any Coin Burn / BuyBack systems or any Token Burn plans to increase the value of Token & attract Investors to invest?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
TaleCraft, are offering a deflationary system which envisages while you opening chests and assembling NFTs, the lower level NFTs you used for assembling will be burnt. So supply will be constantly limited and decreasing. There is more, due to the free market principles, chest opening with $CRAFT will decrease the supply of $CRAFT, which beat a path to increase $CRAFT price. Increased $CRAFT price will meant to increase the floor price of NFTs, which cause a reduced total supply.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
8. Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
In future, we will release our special package NFTs from individual artists. Our holders will be able to vote on them to decide which is going to be released.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
9. What policy do you have in place regarding the number of chests that are available per week? With the current number, which is 10,000/ weekly on the testnet, don’t you see only the whales favoring? or you have set up the chest limit that an address can buy in a weekly.

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
There is a limit already, it’s 250 per wallet. And it’s distributed as first come first serve. We really care our investors in all budgets.

Houy (Avalanche Vietnam):
10. Do you have tutorial videos so we can get to know your project more clearly or do you have a YouTube channel or something? can you share it with us?

Yetkin Isik (TaleCraft):
For sure. We have a youtube channel for instructive videos and guidance for newcomers. I will drop the link below.
